Bible Church
Creation
We worship God as the Creator and Sustainer of life.
We believe in the Trinity of Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Salvation
We believe that the scriptures (the Bible) contain all we need for guiding and directing us in coming to know our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and the sufficiency of His atoning sacrifice for our sins on the cross, His burial and His resurrection from the dead.
Eternity
We look forward with great expectation to the return of our Lord Jesus Christ for His church and subsequently to rule and reign on this earth.
And we look forward to the time when sin and death are defeated, and we get to live with our Lord forever only because we have put our hope and faith in Jesus
Our Structure
Bible Church of Nelson is the new name for Richmond Bible Church which now meets in Nelson. Richmond Bible Church had its foundations in the Open Brethren movement which had its roots in the Nelson area in the 1860s.
As we are led by elders and do not have paid pastoral staff, we have few expenses. Thus, we are able, with contributions received, to support missions and ministries in New Zealand and overseas that uphold the Word of God in bringing the good news of salvation to all who believe and to those who would not otherwise hear it.
